Greta Ann Vanderblue... My friends call me Greta

Where do I start... I think I'll add to this page as I go. I know I will learn more about myself on this trip than I have in the the last 17 years of my life. But if you want a brief synopsis and some random facts to get to know me, here goes;

Now I could sit here and talk about how I was born November 30th, 2000... on my due date (just to point out that I am always on time). Or that I have an older sister and brother. I could even mention the varsity sports I was on in high school. But it all seems cliché. Maybe that's the point... My family has made me who I am today, they have taught me what love is, how to be kind and respectful, and most importantly forgiveness. With high school sports I have learned how to be a leader and self growth but I have also learned how to become a team player. I have also met some of the greatest people on these sports teams, as well as in high school in general. I can't go without mentioning the teachers who I have looked up to throughout my education, all of them inspiring me to be different and pave my own path. These small moments in my life have created the person I am today, so I thank you, many of you who are reading this have helped me grow, an "all about me" wouldn't be possible without you.

Now that my mom is out of the room I can actually write about myself. I have always wanted to be a unicorn... and not just your basic white pretty unicorn you see in stores and on tv. I want to be the fluffiest and most dope ass mother fucking unicorn out there. I think this journey state to state will help me reach my goal.

For those who know me I have never really fit in with the "crowd" at least I never tried to. I saw this fake facade high school created and wanted nothing to do with it. I didn't care about the brand I wore on my back or what others thought of that. I just live one day at a time, nothing else matters but who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow. I am constantly surrounding myself with people and experiences that will help me grow as an individual. I tend to go against the grain, not to cause trouble... but to make sure I don't get caught up in the slippery slope of whats the word? Conformism? Although Fairfield County has been my home and filled my world with wonderful people and memories, it doesn't really breed individualism.

This is just the beginning of discovering of who I really am. As I sit here and write "All about me" I think the whole point is I aspire to continuously grow, learn from others and become the best "me" possible.
